Sugarland Country Club is a semi-private 18 hole golf course located in Raceland, Louisiana.
Sugarland Country Club opened for play in 1967, as a nine hole course. An additional nine holes were added in 2001, making the course a full 18. The course was designed by Tad Kivett.
Sugarland's course is predominately flat with numerous trees lining the fairway. The greens are elevated, undulating and protected by bunkers. There are only two dogleg fairways on the entire course, but four ponds come into play four times and three large ditches come into play on every hole. The back nine is noticeably open and plays longer than the front.
The course is a par 72 and plays to 6,751 yards from the longest tees.

course had fallen into disrepair. greens were what you would find at a goat ranch. existing pro was let go, course maintenance was contracted out and a greens consultant was brought in and the course is now in fine condition and based upon amount of grass on the greens, they should be in excellent shape come spring time. this was all accomplished with members pitching in to bring the course back into the condition that outside players have commented on and are coming to play again on a regular basis.
